Awaken the Legacy: The Rebirth of McNichols & Civic Center

This summer we had the opportunity to collaborate with Tryba Architects on a short film focusing on the McNichols Building and its historic importance as a catalyst for change in Civic Center Park.  From the erection of the Carnegie Library in 1909 propelling the original development of Denver’s Civic Center, to a new millennium vision focusing on today’s McNichols Building as an engine for Civic Center renewal, our film reveals the importance of this historic structure in keeping Denver’s City Beautiful dream alive.

Wow! This film made me very excited to be reintroduced to Civic Center Park, to attend activities provided and to really observe the architecture and history displayed there. I especially want to “take in” the McNichols building, and being a gardener, I loved the ferns surrounding the tops of the columns!
